PDF for the Agenzia delle Entrate

What the Agency asks for
One file with the signed contract and its attachments (floor plans, inventories, receipts), in PDF/A-1a, PDF/A-1b or TIFF, up to 5 MB. PDF/A-2 and PDF/A-3, the default in many programs, are not accepted.
What changes in the file
Each page becomes an image, as in a scan: the text can no longer be selected. A digital signature does not carry over to the copy, only its drawing does: keep the signed original separately.
Before you submit
The Agency’s reserved area has a service to validate and convert files («Servizi per validare e convertire file»): a check there tells you right away whether the file will pass.
